Greetings

Endovascular Asia (EndoAsia) 2017 will be held on December 2, 2017.
This meeting started as the Bay Area Endovascular Summit (BEST) in 2010, with this year marking the 8th conference. The importance of diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arteriosclerotic disease has continued to increase with the worldwide rise in the number of patients with diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease, and a multidisciplinary approach is considered essential in this field.
In addition, with the rapid advancement of treatment devices, it is important to responsively hone the skills in diagnosis and treatment for its effective use. The purpose of EndoAsia has been to widen the stage for opinion exchange in Asia, currently with the participation of numerous cardiologists, vascular surgeons, radiologists, orthopedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, etc. as leaders in vascular medicine in their individual countries, such as Korea and Taiwan. In other words, EndoAsia can be viewed as a rare academic opportunity to study this field from an international viewpoint.
The activities of this conference have been highly evaluated, including an endorsement from the International Society of Endovascular Specialists (official journal: Journal of Endovascular Therapy). We are now eagerly making preparations so this conference will be an excellent meeting place to discuss the best direction for vascular medicine and catheter intervention in Japan and Asia. This year, the program will focus on the following themes:

  • ・CLI ASIA: Multidisciplinary and international discussion on CLI treatment.
  • ・FP SUMMIT: This field involves the highest number of patients, and rapid progress in device development is expected. The session will also discuss future approaches.
  • ・EVT LIVE: Presentation of four cases is planned.
  • ・Vein/non-atherosclerotic vascular disease: This session will discuss venous disease and rare diseases, which is essential for the medical care of peripheral arterial disease.
  • ・Call for cases:Seeking contributory EVT-related cases.
  • ・New devices: This session seeks to understand current conditions of foreign made devices, as well as those in Japan.
  • ・Interventionalist vs Surgeon: At this meeting, an international discussion on the interventionalist vs surgeon is featured.

We hope you can enjoy Osaka in the winter. We look forward to the participation of many people.
